I've never owned a Dooney but have admired them for years. Especially the AWL crescent tote. The QVC price plus tax and s/h, would bring this to around $300, too much for my budget. So in looking at what ebay has to offer, there are a number of the crescent bags. (go to ebay, search for 'dooney and burke crescent tote'. Most of them fit my price range. What I've noticed though, is on the pre-owned bags, they all have significant signs of wear along the bottom edges. Where the leather is actually worn off. I thought this bag was supposed to wear like cast iron. ?? do your bags show that much wear around the bottom edges? is it even worth my money to buy one, new or used, if they show wear that much? or is this not a big deal in your opinions?
