This spring I purchased a pair of earth origins closed toe nellie sandals . ( I got them at the shoe store where I could try them on). Loved them , so ordered 2 pair in other colors from QVC since I already knew the size I'd need. They sold out so quickly ! I'm sure everyone who got them & loved them bought multiple pairs as you just don't come upon such comfortable closed toe sandals every day. They are practically sold out everywhere. They completely sold out at the shoe store in Venice,fl in a few days. Women crave a PRETTY closed toe sandal. Esp. older women don't usually have pretty toes and many ladies prefer closed toe sandals. Then add on those who need them for their job - and they dissappear quickly . I don't really understand why they make so few PRETTY closed toe sandals.
Yes, if you will wear ugly fisherman shoes that look like mens shoes there are any number of them.I say NO THANK YOU to them.

I've bought many pairs of closed-toe sandals on Zulily. In fact, I ordered a pair yesterday.

There are some places that I go where an open sandal is not appropriate footwear.
My favorite closed-toe sandals are Fisherman's sandals! I think I have six pairs - various colors.
They aren't all clunky. Depends on the brand.
I have a philosophical objection to Earth Brands ... would never buy.

I agree. Even it they would just modify the SIZE of the toe opening would be good. But so many sandals have theses HUGE toe openings that in a minute you are sliding out the front of the shoes and your toes are resting on the pavement in front of you. That's why we mostly always are forced to buy closed toe sandals. Thank you for posting this problem.

@ALRATIBA. I like fisherman's sandals too. I have several pairs of Minnetonka's, which were my favs. Unfortunately they seem to have discontinued them.

I have had numerous ladies come up to me and compliment these shoes and ask where I got them. The PA at the dermatologist office asked where I got them as she needs closed toe shoes for work and would like another option beside walking shoes.

@nzwyck When I wear open toe sandals I always end up with bleeding or bruised toes by the end of the day. Don't know how that happens but it always does.

That's why I always buy extra pairs when I see them. They should last me several more years.

We definitely do not have the same taste in shoes.

I hate wearing shoes and run around in my bare feet at home most of the time. I am in a boat often in the summer and bare feet again for me.
When I am forced to wear footwear, I prefer open toe, open sides...as little material as possible sandals.
i find that closed toe sandals hurt and those peep toe shoes and sandals hurt even more. I also don't like sandals with a back strap..they rub my heels.
I found a pair of Merrell sandals in Marshall's this summer that feel like heaven on my feet. They are my go to shoes for everyday.
Merrerll makes sandals for hiking, but they also make pretty sandals that can be city worn. They offer comfort...lots of comfort and support and the price is right.
i have no need to hide my feet or toes, so no closed shoes of any kind for me.
