All I want are some slip in garden shoes.  Really don't want to pay over 20$.  Does anyone have any ideas, thanks

@matty liz My mother has always wore some cheap ole rubber boots when gardening.  I think she got them from either Payless, Five Below, supermarket or the Dollar Store.  All I know, they were probably under $10.

These days, I can't think of anywhere (around me) you can get a new shoe for under $20- I often garden in an old pair of sneakers. It works fine unless it's muddy or rainy and you need a shoe to hose off. Otherwise, try "The Bay" for a lightly used pair of Sloggers. HTH!

I wear Sloggers.  They work great, last forever, and just hose them off and wash the removable insert.  The Q has a few available for $20 and $28 with limited sizing.  They carry Sloogers and other garden shoes on A but I think they are more expensive.

Crocs.  That's what I wore today while working in the flowerbed.

Re: garden shoes

I have 3 pairs of sloggers and I love them.  I got mine from QVC's "As Is" section, for under $20 (and they were all brand new) and during a free shipping promotion.

But that was some time ago.  I think most of them in regular stock are around $35 now with $5.50 shipping.  (Seems like that's the going price, no matter which retailer you use.)

If you're not in a rush, you could keep checking for clearance prices and free shipping.  I've had mine for years, but you'd never know it.  I keep a pair at each door; easy to slip in and out of.

I even bought a pair for a friend from "As Is" and she loves them.

*** Come to think of it, shoes qualify for free shipping with the code SPRINGLOOKFSH until 04/11.  Worth a try, especially if any go on sale before then, as long as they're not clearance.

I have a pair of Sloggers but they are too narrow and hurt my feet. If anyone knows where I can find wide-width garden shoes please post! I need a full shoe, no open backs.

Costco used to carry Western Chief garden clogs for around $20 but I haven't seen them online in a while.  I haven't been to a warehouse in a while, either, so not sure if the clogs are only in the warehouse and not also online.  Amazon carries Western Chief clogs but they are more expensive.  I like this brand well enough (mostly the low Costco price) but they have no arch support so I put in Dr. Scholl's insoles and they're fine.
