Are you referring to the recent TSV suede boots?

I love mine and would never want them in smooth leather.  Sorry if you're referring to something else.

Are we supposed to guess about what you are talking about or are you speaking in code?  I don't about the "real boot",  just say what you want to say.  Clarks had suede desert boot as a Tsv recently and it's just their take on the desert boots that some of us are old enough to remember.  They also have another similar boot that is more expensive.  A lot of shoe designers are going retro with that boot this year.  I was young but I remember having a tan suede pair back in the day.  I believe desert boots were always suede...but I could be wrong about that.  Plaid jumper, knee socks...and my desert boots.  I remember it well.

If this is about the recent TSV boot, I would say, to answer your question about why dumb it down, there are many of us that will not or can not pay $200.00 for a boot.   I know that $200 for a leather boot and made in Italy is a very good price, but my budget will not allow it.  I love my Clarks TSV boot.  Super comfy-cozy-cute.
