Which Roma - Original or 2?

Ok, not to add to the gili roma drama, but I really like the look of this bag and I was going to use my thanksgiving ez pay, but which one to get? The original roma is very tempting but I am afraid it will be too big and heavy. The roma 2 looks like a good size and weight but I'm concerned that so many are having problems with the cracking. Also I can't decide between the black or the natural ostrich. Care to take a vote for which bag and which color to get?
