What is calf hair on Aimee K's bag?

I would like to order one of Aimee K. purse, but I do not know what is calf hair?....is it actual hair or is it a fabric with that name?....please help!!...thanks

It's actual hair on leather.

It's cow leather with the hair still on it. I find it unpleasant.
