Cruise planned for later in the year and not sure what I'll use to carry all the little things I need while on ship. A small cross-body, hipster, fanny pack??
What do you use?
TIA

A small cross body bag is great for on-board use to stash your key card, tissues, makeup and other small items. Also, a small waterproof case is great for the pool and beach.
A larger cross body bag and a zipper topped tote bag with pockets are nice for shore tours. On shore you'll need to carry a wallet, some cash, camera, sunglasses, sunscreen, maybe a towel, etc. Foldable totes are also nice for purchases or wet items.

I prefer a small crossbody nylon bag. I usually take my Dooney ""triple zip"" nylon.

You don't need to carry much while on the ship. Basically your stateroom card. The ships I've been on sell small pouches which I found come in very handy for the card, tissue, lipstick. On shore a small cross body bag and tote for umbrella, jacket, any purchases will work. Keep it simple and lightweight. Bon voyage!

Totally agree....small crossbody bag is all you will need for on ship. Sorry, but this fanny will never see a pack! LOL A cute crossbody is a great hands free way to go.
Also, agree you will need a good packable tote. Going on shore to excursions or beaches you will definitely want to carry a LOT more stuff! I use a larger one so DH and I only use one bag together. Towels, sun goo, sunglasses, water bottles, books, wallet etc....you will bring on excursions or beach trips. Put your electronics in a GALLON size zip lock bag to keep them dry from any mist, humidity etc.
Enjoy your cruise! We will be going on our fourteenth cruise in less than 2 weeks!!

I carried a wristlet on board. I kept my stateroom card and some simple basics like lip balm and sunglasses, etc. True you can run back to your room for that sort of thing but it's always a long walk. On the shore excursions, same wristlet except also with cash, ID, credit card, etc. and a lightweight tote that zips shut. I kept my hot weather basics in the tote such as towel, sunscreen, swimsuit, water bottle and alittle room for any souvenirs. Have fun!

Oh, cruise talk! MY FAVORITE!!! Hubs calls me a cruise junkie, I think I could go several times a year and not burn myself out. Shipboard I typically use a small Vera Bradley wristlet. My smallest camera will fit in the cell phone slot and it will easily hold lip balm and my stateroom card. If I'm going to the pool to lounge about I'll take a tote with my towel and Kindle, and Tervis cup as well. My tote has a small zip pocket inside that I slip the wristlet into.

I don't even like to say "fanny pack," much less wear one. And face it, even if you do wear one, how many people wear them over their rear ends versus their fronts? The last thing you want is to put your wallet in a pouch that a stranger can access more easily than you can. I have one I use for my iPhone when I go walking and I just call it my waist or belt bag.

Small cross-body bag it is then. Thanks to all for suggestions and tips.
