Stayed on Q (after purchasing my TSV pants) to see the VIONIC loafers w/ white soles. I think so many shoes are doing this and would love something less clunky and no white soles.

I went to Clark's online (sale email) and found "ballet flats" with arch support. They fit great. I'm a true 7 1/2 in Clark's and only the "collection" styles have that much padding and support.

@Shanus   Yeah, I don't get this either. I hate white soles on most shoes - tennis shoes, loafers, boots whatever, especially when we turn the corner into fall & winter.

Why do they do this? I don't know. Stops me in my tracks for sure.

I swear by Ecco shoes. I rarely pay full price because they are sold by a lot of retailers and Ecco has sales quite often. They have the best arch and foot support I've found in shoes.

My dad's funeral was Dec 27. I realized my shoes all had white soles. I still had a few pair of shoes I wore before retiring in a box and found some like-new all-black Ecco flats. Perfect.

I'd love to have a pair of Hoka Bondi athletic shoes. Friends rave about them but they're too pricey for me right now.  Maybe someday.

Not a fan of white soles with dark colors either---tan color ones are ok but the white just doesn't cut it for me.

I'll go on the list of not buying dark shoes with white soles, I so dislike that look. And I do not like the look of the humongous soles on many of the athletic shoes today.

Agreed, I don't own one pair of sneakers or shoes with a white sole.  Living in New England these would be an impossible task to keep clean looking.  No thank you!

Almost all the sneakers have white soles now because they are cheaper to manufacture. They start out as a small blob of the sole material and are blown into a mould with high pressure injection and voila! An ugly white sole that is cheaper to make, but magically, the price of the shoes just keep going up.

I don't own any shoes with white soles and I never will.  Yuck!

( I don't wear sneakers, but white soles on sneakers are okay.)
