Upcoming GILI Roma 2 TSV Questions :)

Hi, all: What do you think the price range of this TSV will be? I just can't remember the price for the last one. I read that there were problems with handles cracking but other's bags were fine so I am hoping issues were addressed. It is a big, leather bag so I am sure it runs a little heavy, so I would like to hear your thoughts about that. And, if you are getting the TSV, what color will come home to you? Thanks for your input!

Wonder if she will stay up 24 hours like the other vendors?

I have the ostrich from the first tsv. I carried her from day one, all thru our never ending winter, and she still looks great. Now that the weather is nicer, the bag is resting in her dustbag. I did not find it to be as heavy as the d&b florentine. I enjoyed my bag and received many compliments. I think the blush is beautiful!

They're a little heavy but not inordinately so for the size. I hope to nab the white ostrich. I already have it in the large version, but that one is just huge for day to day use, though it's great as a large tote or overnight tote when needed. It seems they did tweak the bag "medium" sorely missed, though the medium did have a magnet.

Thanks, Grandma! I appreciate your detailed input. The blush is gorgeous. That will go first, for sure. I had to Florentines, sold one and traded in the other. Way to heavy for me and what really bugged me was the short satchel handles. So hard to get hands in them to carry! The natural, especially, was so stunning and got so many compliments but, if I carried it any length of time, my arm was so tired!!! I am hoping that this bag because it will distribute contents better and has larger satchel handles that I may love it. I'm going to give it a try. But, I think the ivory ostrich for me, love ivory bags. What will you be getting, if any????

I think it's next Friday's TSV. There are pictures of the bag on her FB page or you can go to the Q's 'togather' page for pictures in every color by typing in Roma II... Here's a picture from togather of the bag in blush. Apparently, it'll be available in seven colors: this one, white ostrich, metallic, light snake, black, natural ostrich and brown lizard.

Stevieb: Considering all the problems with the first Roma Tote 2, I think that your quote seems pretty appropriate. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin} I sure hope they find a way to assure the buyers that the problems with the cracking handles has been addressed. I really like the blush but had to return the first one and keep rereading your quote about having one's head examined.

Wink

It seems to me I read here somewhere that she said it had been addressed and that someone saw it on her FB page as well. I know the bag has been tweaked to include a snap closure, so am hoping the cracking problem was addressed too. I got the brown one last time around and had no problems with it. Got the orange and although the handles weren't a problem, I sent it back because there was an odd grain to the leather in one spot that looked like a flaw but actually wasn't. I'm probably going to spring for one this time around and hope for the best... The blush does look to be very pretty... And yep, I might end up thinking I should've had my head examined!

stevieb - that was me who posted about the answer to the cracking handles someone had asked on FB. Here is what was asked/said:

Good morning! Does anyone know if the handle cracking issue on the roma 2 has been resolved? Really want a new color if so!

Lisa Robertson QVC hi Kristen, for the New Roma we went back to the manufacturer to address this issue and were assured it would not happen again, they are beautiful bags!! --Erin

As to the possible price, when it was the TSV on 10/23/13, the price was $159.12 with S&H of $11.22 and 3 ez pays.

This TSV, scheduled for May 16th, will be able to pre-order on May 12 at noon ET thru Lisa's FB page. I just hope QVC handles this like the do for InsideQ. Because you know the blush will be the first color to sell out. They had better be holding a lot of these bags for the 16th.
