Tignanello Cracking Handle Question

I've been using my Tignanello A93784 for about 6 months when I noticed cracking on the edge (piping) of the shoulder strap. Does this mean that the entire shoulder strap is man-made? I'm so disappointed. I've purchased several Tig bags and now I'm concerned that this will happen on all my Tig bags. Has anyone ever had this happen to the piping on a Dooney & Bourke bag?
