I've never bought anything "As is" but if ever I did it would be through QVC. If you don't like it you can send it back.
My guess is a lot of it comes from people like me. You would not believe all of the things I send back and how many I send back.
I recently lost at least 50 lbs (due to illness) and am going crazy trying to figure out my size. Over and over I order something, it doesn't fit and back it goes (usually even the next day).
I have very thin hair (again, due to illness) and have to wear a wig. I have two that I love and keep trying to find more; so I ordered the "Tabetha" (whatever her name is) wigs on QVC, before that I ordered some other ones.
None of them fit or look right. I send them back within days and never wear them or even take any tags off of the stuff. I would think the law wouldn't let them re-sell them like new so it might be things like I send back.
Nothing is ever damaged and hasn't been work but I tear the packaging and sometimes it can't be reused.
I'm just giving you a 'heads up' on what some of the "as is" might be. I don't know this is just an assumption on my part.

I basically buy tops and some skirts, AS IS. No problem. They seem to come in a new package without the rips. I am happy.
