First, I bought the Earth TSV a week or 2 ago. But when I walked in them they hurt the front of my ankles, so I returned them. The boots I bought next are a little fussy for me, but I bought them anyway. I bought Spring Step L'Artiste Sandi ankle boots #A360124 in black. They're black leather with a little floral velvet on the side. I wasn't sure about the patch of velvet, and I'm waiting to see when I get them. Then, I got a text from a best friend who lives in another state who said that she bought herself and me a pair of all velvet ankle boots that were on sale on the Nordstrom Rack website and they were on their way to me. They arrived this morning. They remind me of the "granny" boots we wore as kids but in velvet and are darling. There's such a wide variety of boots lately. What boots are you buying this year?

@Desert Lily  I won't be buying boot as I have no need.  Be sure to spray those velvet boots with something like 3Ms fabric spray.

I am orginally from Ohio but am living in NC.  I have always been a boot girl.  Love them.  I dont need the winter type boots I used to need in Ohio winters, but I still love boots.  I get more of the "dressier" type now.  I have to watch my boot buying or I would have all boots. lol.  Go Bucks!

Re: The Boots I Bought

[ Edited ]

I love wearing all kinds of boots! I'm currently into wearing my skinny jeans, ankle length, with my new assortment of ankle boots! Love the look and I'm always so comfy. I would NEVER buy any footwear (anything actually) without trying them on first! I just can't fathom having to pay a fee (shipping) to try something on!

What a sweet friend to buy those boots and send them!!!!  They sound adorable.  I have always loved that type of boot.  Enjoy!!!

@Kachina624  I'm noticing that a lot of shoes and boots are in suede this season....not as many in leather. I agree to spray those "puppies" several times...let dry 24 hrs. between each spraying!

@Desertdi Someone else wearing western boots? Love it! I own several pr. of authentic cowgirl boots that I wear w/ jeans. I've owned them for years. Even though the ankle boot is "of the moment", no one tells me not to wear my western boots....Jeans, white shirt, turquoise jewelry? A match made in heaven!!!

@Desert Lily,  I have two pair of ankle boots black and one pair brown leather by Clarks I bought 2 years ago.  I could use one more pair but have not seen what I want thus far.  Years ago, I bought a pair of shoes by Earth and they gave me blisters so I finally gave them away.  That turned me off to Earth.  Yesterday, I purchased a pair of Alegria on clearance for $53 and change with a round toe so I am anxious to receive them.  I could not pass up for that price since most of their shoes are over $100.  Enjoy your boots.Cat Happy

@Imaoldhippie  Hi. I'm a North Carolina gal, too. My winter footwear is mostly boots (ankle, a little higher & cowgirl). I have my sneakers, a few pr. of Clark's comfie walking shoes, but shoes, in general, have not been great looking the last few seasons: high wedges, gladiators, peeptoe heels...nothing that looks it'll be around for years like my boots and shooties. ITA with your choices.
