I love the look and feel of unstructured bags, but I don't like to use them. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes} I find structured handbags to be much more useful for me.... it's easier to find things inside and I prefer a handbag to a shoulder bag. When I do carry an unstructured handbag, and I have some... I always use a purse organizer... otherwise the fact that everything is jumbled inside doesn't work for me.

I generally prefer a hand held satchel too. Most of the time I just don't want a bag hanging on me.{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I am also not a fan of unstructured. I prefer organization in a purse.

Re: Structured -vs- unstructured handbags...

I veer toward semi-structured bags, if that makes any sense. Many bags fall into this middle ground in my opinion... I will also do a fully structured bag.....an unstructured bag, however, could be a disaster for me because I would never find anything I needed lol! I do own some unstructured bags, I just don't use them often!!

I prefer unstructured. I don't like a lot of organization. I can never find anything when it's all organized and neat - LOL

Re: Structured -vs- unstructured handbags...

Case in point, I prefer more rather than less structure in a bag and yet right now I'm using a sort of (but not totally) 'floppy' north-south (though historically I'm not a north-south fan, though that seems to be changing, at least a little...) satchel with no outside pockets and limited inside organization and no shoulder strap simply because I love the look of the bag. There ARE times when form trumps function!

Re: Structured -vs- unstructured handbags...

Although I can appreciate the structured look, it's not for me. Usually the bags are quite deep, so they tend to overpower me. I also think that they can sometimes look sort of stodgy.

I prefer something a bit more fluid.
