Never mind. I decided the JRipka one is going back. Can't justify keeping both! Besides, I also ordered the GILI military coat Smiley Happy but secretly hoping the size will be off. Lol. And wow, I saw the presentation of ring #2 and I love it in both stone options!!! Wow. (Un)fortunately, the price is too high for me to be able to afford it.....

I rather like this one...

Hmmm...

I'm just unsure of the whole Byzantine thing. I like them in theory, but somehow when I see them IRL they just don't often work for me.

14K Gold Bold Byzantine & Turquoise Ring - J291361

I'm probably keeping the small one. After much consideration and waffling, I don't love it but there is something really rather pretty about it. It won't be an everyday piece, but it'll get worn enough to justify the expense. I have to say though, the perfect round little stone, though lovely, can sometimes take on a rather plastic look.

Probably best to return the Ripka watch if you're happy with the other one. I got her crossover strap silver watch with a turquoise band, but didn't like it and sent it back. It was reasonably attractive but it somehow just didn't work for me.

Now TK, don't be silly. Don't order a coat hoping it doesn't fit! You just have to return it and really, you know you want it or you wouldn't have ordered it. I liked it too. Thought about it in camel, but didn't order.

Smiley Happy I like chatting with you! You always make me smile. Yes, you are right, of course I want the coat. I'm just not too crazy about the material it's made of and even though it says machine wash, I'd be afraid to wash the coat in a washing machine..... As far as your ring, for that price you should love it. My 5 stone turquoise ring is pretty, I paid $80 for it....but yes, the stones look a lot like plastic..... that's why I'm excited about getting the doublet turquoise ring. It's more sparkly and less plastic looking.

Wow, all these cosmetics shows make me realize I need to start caring more for my skin.....and it's going to be extremely expensive!! Sigh.... I have no idea how families with kids and one income do it....

Yes, chatting is fun for me too... But oy, as for skincare... do yourself a favor and pick just a few good products. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and find solid drugstore brands and also check out TJ Maxx and Marshall's, as they often have good skincare, if inconsistently. I too buy my share of potions and lotions, but past a point I'm convinced it's only going to take you so far for so long!

I really liked the coat, but there was just something about the cut I wasn't sure would work... As for the ring, maybe I should love it, but as noted, I think it'll get enough wear to justify the price... It's pretty, but it doesn't set the world on fire. Keeping in mind it's sort of a small, simple piece, it really can't be expected to! Hoping you love the doublet when it gets there.

I like Garnier moisturizing gel cream. Not sure what to think about philosophy?? Was considering the TSV but I think I can wait with the anti-aging creams a few more years.... also, I just ordered the Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask for $33 from another site....

The coat is pretty.....but I was confused about their sizing so hoping it will fit....and it looks like it's meant to be worn without a scarf?? Unless it goes under the coat....

At thirty-five, well, not to burst your bubble, but it's time to start with some of the big guns if you think your skin is going to age significantly or if you have skin that is beginning to veer toward dry or even dryer than you're used to. That said, and each to their own, but Philosophy has never been a big hit with me... Skin care is a very personal choice though. Of the Q brands, I like Denese and Argan, but as I also noted, I often find solid products at discount and at the drugstore. I did a PTR sample kit once and I liked it, but not enough to reorder. I'm trying a Perricone kit now, but when I'm feeling really self-indulgent, I'll pick up something from Chanel and I also like some Lancome products, but overall, I'm not a war paint/skin care junkie. I use my share, but my handbag and jewelry addiction doesn't really extend to 'beauty'.

Yeah, I know I have to start early.... but since I never use any make up, my skin looks better comparing to other women my age... some people think I'm in my late 20's Smiley Happy There are just so many different products and brands, it's really hard to choose one...... but I definitely don't want to have a wrinkled face at 50! Lol.

You might want to consider a serum or Argan oil, (even the light version). Be aware, speaking for myself, it's not atypical for me when I try something new to have a short period of break outs, but it resolves quickly. The other thing to consider is a good exfoliating product to regularly get rid of the old skin cells and promote new ones (I like Dr. Denese's Firming Facial Pads)... Of course, a good basic moisturizer (I like Dr. Denese's Dream Cream) is a must, especially in dry climates. It's not just wrinkles one has to watch out for, but maintaining a nice skin tone and toned skin! I've always looked younger than my age too, but be advised, when it starts to go south it goes quickly unless you take precautions!

Wink
