Shop-queen: O/T question about heels

Hi SQ!! I posted this on your bootie thread, but just in case, I figured you'd more likely "see" this if I asked you in a "page". lol

Here's what I wrote:

HOLDDDDDDDDDDDDDD everything, SQ: You can have heels cut down?!!!! I just got the cutest heels from Nordies and am on the fence about returning (no, I have not worn them, just tried them on - carpet only) due to heel height. They are high (even with a built-in 1" platform), but I LOVE the shoe. I'd just wish they were an inch lower to really walk confidently in them. A shoe repair can cut them down? Doesn't that mess with the arch? This is such an intriguing idea!

What do you think?
