How do  you store your shoes?  I have a 2-shelf rack in the bottom of my closet, but it just isn't working for me.  The shoes fall off the back and sides.  I need some new suggestions.

I used those plastic crates and stacked them in the one closet. The other month I decided that I needed to do something better with the boots, athletic shoes and sandals stash on the floor. I ordered those extra large snap bakets. Works like a dream and you can still see what is where. One of those "glad I thought of that" moments.

I have a dressing room, so I was able to install metal racks which climb up the wall (like the ones used by shoe stores) for shoes and boots.  If I didn't have that space I like the clear boxes as described by @Fressa.  In fact, some of my dressier shoes which I don't wear a lot are in those clear boxes to protect them from dust.

I use some stackable storage crates I got at Staples.  Just checked to see if they still sell them.  I stack them, and added casters (sold on same page).

Quite surprised at the prices now!  I bought them easily 20 years ago for really, really low price.  I use them for my shoes, yarn, books, research materials ... just about anything I have to have quick access and movable.

I just store the shoes and boots in the box they came in at the bottom of my closet. Granted, the closet is the length of the wall in that room and has sliding doors, it works for me.

I store my shoes in their original boxes.  I stack the boxes then pop the end of the lid and then the box becomes like a drawer.  Works for me.

I also store mine in the original boxes on the floor of my closet. My boots are stored in their boxes under my bed.

We just had a rather thorough discussion on this subject a couple of days ago.  You might want to research it.

I keep them in their original boxes and slide them out like drawers, same as another poster mentioned.
