I wear ankle boots or some a little higher w/ jeans rolled up so a little leg (inch or so) shows out. What do you wear w/ the boots in winter? Haven't found socks that don't show between boots and jeans. Ideas?

I don't care for that "skin showing" look with ankle boots.  Of course now, it's too cold for it anyway.  I wear trouser socks with my ankle boots but when it gets really cold, I wear tights.  I assume "stalkings" means pantihose.  I haven't worn them in many years but if I did, it wouldn't be with ankle boots.

I wear tights as in the winter I am too chilly to have any bare skin.  I think it would depend on the climate where you live as to your preference in what to wear.

I'd wear socks.  You can get them at different heights or go knee high.

My black ankle boots that I wear most often are a tiny bit big for me. I wear a pair of trouser socks to start out, then put a thick pair of black wool socks on over the first pair. They fit just right then, and I don't have skin showing.

I wear a short ankle sock that won't show above the boot. I  will do the same thing but have the cuff almost meet the top of the boot--I agree that you don't want sock showing with this look.

Thin ankle socks works best for me.

How about tights in your skin tone? No one would know the difference.
