My feet also lost some of their padding around the heel and ankle and the flats I have I had to sew an elastic across the tops of them so they wouldn't slide off my heels when I walk. I hand sewed them on about 4 pairs of shoes and have a couple more pairs to fix. I am repurposing removable elastic bra straps that I don't use. I cut one strap in half for a pair of shoes. 

 

I have a pair of Naturalizer flats in the donation pile when those places reopen.
