I'm putting this in handbags because it's regarding a D&B return. Original shipping was 11.43, which I will be refunded as it was holiday return policy. BUT why does the return lable say $6.95 will be deducted for the return? Why does it cost them more to ship it than it does to return?

Re: Return Label and Return Fee

I assume your question is rhetorical, since we as customers, cannot determine why the Q's shipping prices are what they are. I think $6.95 to return a handbag is probably less than what you would pay if you paid at the post office for shipping and insurance.

Re: Return Label and Return Fee

I think it is easier to have one return fee charge; it might be a paperwork nightmare to have different fees for different items.

Re: Return Label and Return Fee

If you are returning jewelry or a smaller package it is to your advantage to "pay it your way" and not use the prepaid return label. I asked the post office clerk about larger packages and she told me they couldn't ship it for $6.95. Apparently, the post office charges by the size of the package not the weight. At least that's what she told me. I don't have a clue why QVC charges more to ship it to the customer than they do to return it. Maybe because they are not paying for a new package or box?? I guess it's just the down side of online shopping.

Re: Return Label and Return Fee

I just had to return something to QVC for the first time since the "new improved" shipping policies. Wow, QVC! I have always bragged about your customer service, but $6.95 for using your return shipping label?!  That, plus the $3 return shipping charge is not even close to what I can and will mail this shirt back for.  Guess that's one way to make up for the drop in shipping prices. Is that not called "the old bait and switch?"  Shame on you!  BEWARE QVC CUSTOMERS: USE YOUR OWN LABEL WHEN YOU RETURN QVC ITEMS!

Re: Return Label and Return Fee

I was wondering the same thing since I rarely have to return an item but I just returned a dress that QVC paid $3.00 to ship to me via USPS and I sent it back the same way using the prepaid label and they deducted the $6.95 from my refund.  I guess this is another way to make money.
