I bought a black Dooney & Bourke bag with a red/white/blue tag in it. The only thing it says is "China" and J1026025. It is large, leather and great quality. The inside is very nice beige. There are 5 silvertone feet on it. There is a silvertone Dooney & Bourke plate on the front. It is a tote. Do they make this brand in China. I cannot find a SKU number on it. I think that means style number. Any ideas on this?

In my experience Dooney most typically uses gold tone hardware.

Guess the question is where did you buy it from that makes you doubt its authenticity?

And yes, DB bags are made in China now.

The only purses I've seen usually have 4 feet and the lining is either red or blue/white lining.

To the experts here on the forum, does dooney do 5 feet or a beige lining?

OP: It sounds like an outlet bag. Those have the red, white and blue sewn inside. I own one of those. The SKU is not the "style" number--that may or may not be incorporated into the SKU.

Dooney bags are made in China now.

To the best of my knowledge, there aren't many fake Dooney bags out there. They weren't deemed to be on the same level as Coach and they were harder for counterfeiters to fake.
