I just received the six pack of readers by Hummingbird. Shawn showed them last week and they each have their own case. Maybe $30 is a lot to pay, but I love them.

I also have Joy Mangano readers in regular and sunglasses. The sunglasses have a bifocal so you can read in the sunlight without having to change glasses. It took a while to get used to them, but they work great.

One other thing, for really inexpensive readers, the $ store has a pretty good selection and they work just fine, can have multiple pairs in every room and not worry if you lose them. If one $ store doesn't have what you want, find another, great deal.

Saying that, I still love the wonderful Hummingbird readers that Shawn pitched last week. Each one a different pattern with a case in the same pattern.

I bought and use every day a set of 2.5 readers off Amazon. They are made by BUXTON(search under Buxton accessories)and both pairs come in a single case w/2 seperate zippered sides. A cleaning cloth is attached to the inside of each section so it can't be lost.

One pair are sun-glass readers the other are clear.

They are very good quality and I only paid like $7 for the set.

I did not expect much for that price but was pleasantly suprised. I wanted to order a pair of 3.0 of the same but did not find any.

BTW--I just looked at the 2-sided case again to confirm--it is stamped Buxton and also

""genuine leather"". It is well made and even w/my daily use the case still looks new. No loose stiches or inside lining coming apart.

Worth checking out!

EDIT to add---I got the Tortise/black set. The frames and glass are sturdy--not the thin

easily broken material. I know I sound like I am hawking these --but I am pleased everytime I use them for the past few years!

I like the Costco readers too but the best for me come from Walmart. Tons of styles, strengths, sizes, colors, GREAT PRICES. I use 1.0 strength and they always have lots of different styles, and even 0 strength (which I don't understand but they work for me also).

I like Vera Bradley readers. None of mine have yet to break!!!They are not cheap, but I usually buy them in a pattern that is 30% off. I get them at the Hallmark store near me.

My favorite readers were bought at Target for $1 per pair.

I like the first set of six by Joy Mangano. Worked nicely, loved having the change of colors, not wild and silly patterns, enjoyed the box in came in and the matching colored covers.

Sturdy, and still wearing like iron a couple of years later.

Drug store glasses weren't as pretty and kept breaking.

I also have Joy's readers and I like them. She does a couple of pairs differently, almost like bifocals-very handy in the kitchen when using a recipe. She also included a pair of sunglasses in that configuration but I haven't used them yet.

I have the Joy set that includes bifocal/readers; I like them. I especially like the bifocal pair that's sunglasses! All of them have held up well and they came in a nice color selection. If I needed more I'd order another collection.

I bought a set of readers on the other channel by Joy Mangano and I love them. They are very fashionable and come in all different reading levels. Lots of pretty colors.

Me, too, but it's been a few years and they need replacing. Some of the color has peeled off a few pairs and I think I need to go up .5 in strength. I also have some I bought at Costco that I do not like at all {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

I used to buy readers at Costco, but since moving I ordered JM ts. I am very pleased as they are very well made for the price.
