Received an e-mail today from Soft Surroundings that featured an interesting looking summer handbag that resembles the GILI Roma 2 (and it's inspiration, the Gucci Soho). It's in raffia with a leather handle and a leather tassel topped with a wooden bead. Dimensions are 11-1/2" H x 17" W x 2-1/2 " D. It's Item # 64324 and is $118.95. Although it won't be available until July, it is very tempting...

The bag is described as a tote on the Soft Surroundings website. There's a picture of a model wearing it on her arm and it looks good. I'm not able to copy the picture of the model, though. It's not an exact duplicate of the Gucci Soho/GILI Roma 2, but I feel it's in a similar style.

You can get 100% leather for 50 dollars more and use it all year. This bag is only for spring/summer.
