That is not true. I see negative reviews all the time and a portion of them (those that appear to be written fairly and aren't just mean-spirited slams) have kept me from purchasing certain products. Kudos to QVC for allowing those reviews to be posted.

You're right - It's definitely not true.  I've seen many negative reviews too.  I've also written negative reviews, and none of them have ever been rejected.  QVC absolutely  does allow negative reviews.

I have posted severall negative reviews that are always posted.  It probably is that something that was not following guidelines and  not really relevant was included.

Also I have 4 pairs of Earth boots and once I knew that they run big, the fit is perfect on me.  They are also a heavier shoe/boot.  It's better for balance.  A smaller size probably would have fit.

Re: QVC does not allow negative reviews

I have to agree that I do see unfavorable reviews  and one was mine recently,  was very upset on my order of Rastelli pork ribs eye steaks that were on auto delivery 1st. order was fine delicious , all looked the same in shape gave it a 5 star 2nd. auto delivery was not gave it a 1 star as they were not uniformed in shape like a steak should look like some looked like a chunk of pork tasted ok but had a hard time in serving as they were not perfect looking and some sure weren't even  looking like 7 oz. pork ribs eye steak.

Did not ask for a refund as the taste was ok but not the presentation ( Christmas eve) but deciding if I want to chance a 3rd order .

Horrible boots, heel kept slipping out and heavy on the foot, no thank you!

You thought that the boots were “horrible”. In order to be useful to me, a review needs to tell me the specific, objective features of the item that would encourage me to buy it, or not to buy it. You didn’t like them, but I might have loved them.

You may have a narrow heel and be very slight, while I may have a wide foot and hefty heel, so the boot wouldn’t slip at all on me. You were mad at your boots, and you spoke of your feelings subjectively.

This is your opinion, and you are 110% entitled to it, but a REVIEW benefits from facts. I need REVIEWS to tell me your factual, objective experience so that I can decide whether I want to buy or not.

ALSO, you may or may not have violated “Standards” for reviews, which are posted. It took me a while to adapt my writing to the QVC Standards For Reviews, but now I almost never have a rejected review.

That said, in my own experience, QVC DOES allow negative reviews.

Hope you’ve found yourself a happier boot!

Earth Origins tends to run wide, which slips in the heel.

On the forums what they really don't like or allow much is any comment other than glowing about cerrtain hosts. Some mods are quicker to censure than others.  Maybe it's true for review too.

I don't think so, @maximillian. The Standards for the forum and for reviews are very different.

Re: QVC does not allow negative reviews

It depends on how you phrase your review.  If it sounds like bashing or it it sounds like the real problem was that you ordered the wrong color or the wrong size; then they won't accept the review.

Re: QVC does not allow negative reviews

I've submitted many negative reviews, just added another one less than 5 days ago and it's there.

Under the red box that states Preview My Review, there's a link "Review Guidelines."  Ater you submit, wait at least 5 days because it can take that long sometimes.  If your review never showed up, you may have written something not allowed.

That's exactly right.

What's a big deal to one person may not matter at all to another.  I recently purchased a boxed set of DVD's from Amazon that had mixed reviews.  I always pay closer attention to the negative reviews, and I still went ahead and made the purchase because the issues cited in those negative reviews didn't convince me not to buy.  I'm happy with the DVD's, but I'm always grateful for reviews that are both positive and negative when they're informative and specific.

It's important to know not only that people are unhappy or happy, but the reasons why. Being overly emotional in a review is not helpful to anyone.
