Nope, I was born in southern CA, grew up near San Francisco and moved to Austin in the 90s. I need to visit Dallas for fun sometime! I've only been a few times for conventions where I was mostly trapped in the convention hotel without time to look around and experience Dallas.

ChynnaBlue... I always grew up saying billfold, but my son always seems to say ''I can't find my wallet.'' Guess he gets that from his peers. I am going to pay close attention when my daughter who is 28 comes home, to see what she calls it. I am from SC.

Always heard the term billfold but most around here, me included, use the word wallet.

My Mother, Aunts, and Grandmother called it a pocketbook in Pgh, Pa. I call it a purse.
