Pebble leather vs. Glove leather?

Ladies - do you prefer pebble leather bags or glove leather and why? I've heard some women have trouble with Dooney's vachetta (sp?) leather because it needs a lot of babying (but is gorgeous). Which do you think lasts the longest and looks the best? Curious minds want to know!
