I have been watching the Weather Channel. Are ya'll getting ready to get out of Dodge? Even 3 hours from the coast, Katrinna was a cat 2 when she came through here. Words can not describe how awful it was...and I tried to prepare even when husband told me that I was crazy to do it. If I hadn't-I hate to think. Stockpile food that does not need electricity (enough for a week), batteries for flashlights and radios, candles, and water. Do you have a car charger for your cell phone? It was the only way I could communicate with family. Portable gas cans and gas were gold. People were fighting to buy portable generators.
