Oyster color?

I just got the Florentine Domed buckle Satchel in oyster for Christmas, which I love!!! But I am concerned with the color being so light. I'm worried at how well it will stay clean. Does anyone have anything in oyster? I have 2 small children, I was thinking about trying apple guard stain and water spray but am afraid of ruining the bag. Any help would be great!
