They do have beautiful leather. I too don't want a huge bag. Need larger than a cross body, but those large bags don't flatter a 5 foot frame. I prefer solid color bags as well.

To clarify: I have narrow shoulders so shoulder bags are out. Crossbody handbags look sloppy on me and many don't have adjustable straps and those that do are still too long. I don't want to pay a shoe repair fee for placing another notch on a strap. Which then leads me to satchels and totes. So the search narrows considerably.

I'm sorry, but that comment doesn't even make sense. Nobody has "tried them all". Handbags come in all sizes and shapes, and if you look around enough I feel sure you will find something that suits your taste. Not all handbag makers focus on "the big bag" as Oryany does. What you're looking for is out there.

ITA. I want a handbag not luggage. 18"" wide bags is way to big. I prefer one not longer then 12"" length & no higher then 8-9"" high. I like the looks of the Oryany Casey Lamb leather in the Slate color & the Tracey Italian leather Hobo bags. Also like the looks of the Cassie bag. The only place you can look at nice handbags where I live is Dillard's.

If you sat by my side as I scoured numerous websites for hours on end, you would retract your comments. As a matter of fact, I did this daily for about a week and finally threw in the towel. This is my experience and no one can refute it. I know it's out there and won't give up. BUT won't settle either. It's been my experience that perseverance always pays off. Have you seen A256422? It is 10"" H x 12.5"" W x 4"" D with a 9"" strap drop. It is still color block but not as much as some of the other bags. I agree that it is hard to find a really nice bag that is not ""a big bag"". It is also hard to find one that agrees with my budget.

Gransandy - I love it! I dvr'd the show and watched it later. I think I'm going to go with the slate, but the mushroom colored one is nice, too. It is the perfect size. I was on the fence for a couple of days, but I'm going to take the plunge. I know I won't be disappointed.

I just got this in the expresso & love it. I'm 5'2 & it's not overwhelming at all. The leather is really cushy. Only has black on the sides. The pictures in the description have the backpack mixed in with this bag. Scared me when I first saw it.
