I have tried both and can wear both. But I really love the Orthoheel. My feet do not pronate or turn in without shoes on, so I am not correcting a problem. I just love the support of the arch. They do not hurt and are very comfortable. I should state that I only have sandals and clogs, nothing with a closed toe and heel, which would be harder to fit.

I have flat feet and cannot wear Birkis. I can wear Orthoheels but have a problem with them. If I order my normal size 11, the footbed doesn't fall correctly on my foot. There is, of course, no 10 1/2, so if I go down to a 10, the footbed fits but they're too short. I can get away with a 10 in a toe less sandal. I've given up trying them.
