Orthaheel, slippery footbed?

I started my Orthaheel experience a year ago with the slippers. They were fantastic! I am a Birkenstock wearer for many years but wanted to try the Orthaheel for different style options. I ordered 3 pairs of which 2 were sandals. Having slipped them on I discovered what feels like a slippery footbed. I am thinking if your feet get wet or sweat your foot is less likely to stay in place. What are your experiences. Thank you.

Re: Orthaheel, slippery footbed?

I have experienced the same thing. If your feet get sweaty, they slide all over the place. The bumps on the footbed also give me blisters. I have given up trying to wear my Tide sandals more than a couple of hours at a time. They do make some sandals with faux suede-ish footbeds but not many, and they still have the bumps. I have come to the conclusion that they use the same footbed for all their sandals and mules, and that what they call a medium is really a unisex medium, and too wide for many medium width customers. I might try a narrow width in a sandal some time just to see how they fit - but not at full price, only on sale. OTOH, I have great fit with the two closed pairs I have - the Zoe and the Zen walker. They fit me perfectly. Edited to add: My feet slide in the mules too, and in my correct size I can hardly keep them on my feet.
