@ECBG, if you have a bunion, I don't think I'd recommend Sorel boots to you.  They take a while to stretch and I can't imagine doing that with a bunion.

The new Sorel boots came, and they must be slightly narrow even though I ordered their wide!  

I don't use a stretcher with Fly London boots in a wide, but I will have to stretch this pair a little!

@ECBG    I hope you're able to make them work for you.  I've never had any luck stretching shoes even with those big wooden stretchers.

I get great results with torquing the stretcher as tight as i can get it.  I let the stretcher stay on for several weeks or longer.  You are fighting against the natural elasticity of the leather.

Wetting the back side of the leather helps as well.

I was thinking, these boots don't have a thick sole at all.  I'm going to take them to shoe repair and see if he can add something.
