I ordered a pair of New VIONIC Patent Leather Slides today called the Merced.  They were only $65.00 which I found to be pretty reasonable considering.  I chose the Silver.  They looked a lot prettier during the presentation than they do on the website.  I just hope they fit okay.  Only whole sizes, half sizes go down.

Did anyone else happen to see these or order them?

Vionics are the only shoes that I can wear for any length of time comfortably.  I hope they turn out to be great!  I thought the price was very reasonable for them too.💝🌸

@cheriere With Vionics, I wore a 1/2 size up in closed shoe, my true size in sandals, so 1/2 size less.  If you have had success with Vionics sandals in the past, and bought the same size, they should work well.  They look well made.  I don't really buy Vionics anymore.  I buy Revitalign for slides or slippers.  They work better for me.  Same rule re sizing.  Not a fan of thongs.  I got these and am happy with my purchases.  They are just to wear at home.

I don't wear slides or mules outside the home because shoes become loose and I can trip or slip.  I was with my mom when her hip surgeon told her to throw out all her open shoes!  I still wear them, but only at home.  The surgeon said they should not be worn at home either, which was where my mom was, wearing her slippers in the walkway to her home, taking out the recyclables in a light rain, when she fell and broke her hip...  She was taken by ambulance for emergency surgery.

I know how hard it is on older people to fall and break a major bone like that.

I should probably take your advice regarding the open back shoes.  I'm just accident prone and clumsy.  I fall a lot myself, but so far have been lucky.
