Sky, this bag isn't as structured as would be say a satchel, but it isn't really all that floppy. It's fairly structured for a hobo, because the leather is pretty thick. The zipper isn't a deal breaker for me, but I am a bit of a stickler for easy in and easy out, which is one of the reasons I don't care for the short-zippered Dooney fold-over entries and most flap bags... I haven't actually used the bag yet, so time will tell how much the 'uphill' nature of the zipper ends up being. My guess is that I will probably leave the zipper open other than in situations where I think it needs to be closed, but will not likely routinely open and close this zipper every time I want to get into the bag. It'll air Sunday night at midnight, I believe. It's a larger bag but not like the Roma. It's clearly a hobo and not a tote, and the height of the bag keeps it from being 'huge'.

Thanks Stevie for your review! I am probably not buying due to the "opening". I think I have the same "opinion" on the opening. It seems hard to get in and out of, but I don't have it and probably won't buy due to that. Thanks again!

Hey Win! I'll tell you, the zipper configuration isn't ideal, but it is a beauty of a bag. I don't think I want multiples in this one, but I'll hold onto the one I have just because it's so darned pretty! I know many of us prefer zippers, and I usually do too, but as I noted, this bag might well have been better served by a strong and sizable magnet closure.

I bought the gray - not sure why except I think it will be a gorgeous neutral. I love my Roma 2 Natural ostrich and use it and my black Roma 2 the most. Actually I use the black more than anything. If I didn't already have the black Roma 2, I would definitely go for the black. Feels like "butter" and goes with everything.
