Re: New Coach Bags on Coach Website

I bought the navy mini preston. It is being sent to me because our Macy's doesn't have the color. I also got 25% off I hope I like it; it is the first Coach I have ever bought because I like this bag and I have been looking for a navy bag I like for a very long time.

Re: New Coach Bags on Coach Website

When I got my 25% off coupon I was all ready to buy a new bag (who needs much of an excuse, am I right?)

However, I couldn't find anything by Coach that I would have taken for free. The entire line was nondescript and uninspired. I didn't even see a color that I liked.

They need to relaunch the Madison in gathered leather. I would buy every single color I already don't have.

Re: New Coach Bags on Coach Website

I received my coach bleecker mini preston today and I am so happy with it. I had my doubts because I tend not to like pebbled leather but I do like this bag a lot and the leather part leading to the handles is not pebbled and looks very nice. The length of the longer strap is perfect as is the size of the bag for me. Now I want it in yellow. I bought it in navy but won't be using it right now. The navy is a beautiful navy, to me a real navy. I did get 25% off. Now I am looking at other coach bags and I have found two others I want which are quite a bit more expensive. Knowing me, it's only a matter of time. This is the first time I bought coach anything because I tend to find most of the bags boring. Until these last few weeks.

Stuart Vevers is the new design director for Coach, and his vision is to bring back the Coach Heritage of fine leather (think Bonnie Cashin) with a modern twist appealing to more of the US population by giving consumers the $300 to $425 pricetag. There will still be higher priced lines depending on the leather and exotics used, but to compete with Michael Kors and Kate Spade, this pricing is required.

I just don't see the attraction to a Michael Kors handbag. The bright colors this spring with a magnetic closure were OK but the single center flap was the only material that actually closed the bag, it was a great design but if you handbag dumps, you'll lose everything.

I also noticed that Michael Kors bags are deeply discounted vs department store Coach bags rarely go down the huge percentages but maybe that's my area. I also believe with the factory outlet bags, I'll buy a coach but won't pay the $500 price for a retail store bag, but heck, that's me.

I did however buy a Kate Spade and of all the Dooney's, Coach bags, that one has gotten the most compliments. Oh, and in love with the new Brahmin bags, I believe the Fuji blue is what they call it.

I'm still liking Kate, Dooney and Brahmin, but have to agree, Kors has sort of underwhelmed me lately, but then so has Coach.
