My duck fell off...... :-(

Hi Everyone,

The tortoise shell duck fell off of my leather Valerie. {#emotions_dlg.blink} Just dropped off into my hand. Just the tortoise shell part came off. The metal base is still attatched. My question to those that have had this happen is, did the same thing happen to yours or did the metal part also come off ? Reason I am asking is, I feel certain I can superglue the piece back in, but if the other part may come off also, then I want to send it back to D&B for professional repair before the warranty is up.

If the metal part would come off clean I would be fine with having no duck at all. The darn thing clanks everytime I sit the bag down. Also, should I expect to pay return shipping to Dooney since this is a defect in a bag I've had less than a year ? Thanks for any and all responses. {#emotions_dlg.wub}
