The color is a bit darker than I expected. It has a definite beige tone. I think I could even use this is the winter months. The leather is quite stiff on this one (almost cardboard like). I'm training it now and will be using over the next few weeks. Hopefully it will soften up with wear. Overall I'm happy with my purchase. For the price it was a good deal!It will soften up with wear; my roma 2 arrived yesterday. I had been carrying my large roma in ivory ostrich and I was so surprised at the different "feels" of the two bags. The color is the same, but my large roma is so broken in and it's just lovely. I'm sure the roma 2 will soften up the same way. I carried the new roma 2 for the first time today. The tassel sheds; wear a light color!
NoLimit - LR said it might shed for a couple of days so I'm sure it will stop soon.
Tbelle - LR also said on air that the Ivory Ostrich looks good in the winter, sort of a winter white (I think she called it) and not a bright white.

Thanks! I didn't remember my large roma in ivory ostrich shedding this much, but I'm sure it did. No big deal, and I LOVE the bag. I busted out my ivory large roma in March, and I love it. I could have used it in winter easily. Color is gorgeous!

I am doing the happy dance!
I received my ivory today. I love it. It was packaged so nicely with the dust cover, etc. For me, this color is year round and the bag is not to big or heavy for me. I sold two DB Florentine satchels a year ago because they were well over 3 lbs before putting anything in them, the handles were way too small and the opening was short. it is a stunning bag but so not practical for me.
I love DB, Coach and MK and I have been carrying one of three DB Vanessa bags. One is black for winter and the other two are cream/vachetta and the new white and black. They are large but very light, I also do not carry that much and by no means fill the bag.
Compared to the coated cotton, I paid $235 each, this Roma 2 is soft, gorgeous, so European and yes, I would compare it to the DB Montecatini Diamond Shopper that I had and returned because it was defective. That bag was one big hole, no pockets but one small zipper, and was $535!
So, I will train her on the go, I have moved in and will start tomorrow showing her all around Atlanta!
Congrats to all who received their bags and wear in good health!

Let me say that the bag is very lovely and the blush color is stunning. I think the price is great for so much style and sophistication. YES, it's huge and heavy, but I could get over that.....HOWEVER, I had two isuues. First, the leather sections on mine are very poorly matched. Most are buttery smooth and 2 are very heavily textured kind of crudish. This gives mine a patchwork look, which I'm not crazy about. Also, mine has zero structure. When I put the bag down, it sort of falls over on it's side in a pile. Not crazy about that either. I suppose I would need to keep it packed to have it show me some stand-up!. But, I don't carry the amount of stuff needed to accomplish that. Anyway, I love the bag and I can easily see why others are so crazy about it. It's just not the right bag for me..too bad!
I have the blush as well.. One side of one of my end panels has that coarse textured look whereas the rest of the bag has a more finely textured look to the leather. If I hang the tassel in that corner, it's not that noticeable so I will probably keep it.

Oh goodness! My small-town Roma will be so naive compared to your big-city Romas! Don't know if she could handle it!! (Not that you were inviting me but I couldn't resist!) She should arrive any minute now and I can't wait!!!!!!! I think I hear the UPS truck now!

‎05-21-2014 05:21 PM
Darn, it was the mailman instead of UPS. That little mail truck is getting noisy

Sorry you got one with mismatched leather, too. Mine has that heavy textured panel on half of the back as well as the side. I decided that since I love the bag so much and a waitlist fill will probably just be someone's return, I planned on keeping it. I figured that it would be less noticable since it was on the back. However, when I modeled the bag for my DH, he asked me what that "circle" was on the front!!...What?!!.. It seems that there is some kind of crater about the size of a hockey puck on the underside of the leather. You can feel it. The leather feels thinner in that spot. I didn't even notice it until after the bag was hanging overnight. I guess that they threw this one together at the end of the day when supplies were limited!!LOL...Unfortunately, this is a deal-breaker because now I don't have a "good" side.!!

Just received my natural ostrich today.........and wowza!! I love it, it's gorgeous. Checked the bag all over and no problems at all. Getting ready to load it up so I can immediately start carrying it. The leather is a little stiff but not bad, can definitely tell it will soften up with time. Just keeping fingers crossed there is no cracking issues because I do not want to send this bag back. Can't wait to get the snake!!
