It sounds like QVC has turned into Free Rental Handbags for some people. These bags should go to the outlet as long as QVC has this liberal return policy.

I feel there is a big difference between returning an item that is defective versus ordering and using it during the return window and then returning! The individuals who continually practice using items and then returning them on purpose, just drive QVC's costs up and therefore drive the retail price up for people like myself.

I have purchased many as is bags and have never received a dirty or trashed bag. The cost for quality bags is usually at least $100 less, sometimes half price. My pet peeve is the ladies who keep the little extras Dooney items, like coin purses. most of the bags are like new, some still wrapped. I have kept some bags for the full 30 days because I always return several items in one box to save on shipping...this is okay with the Q. I have rarely taken a bag out of the house before returning...at most I have used them once...I return the dust bag and the extras. Some ladies have bad luck I guess. I did receive a couple of bags which had been carried a bit, obviously, but they could have been cleaned and they would have been fine. I just didn't like them. I have accepted that I spend a ton on shipping for the luxury of shopping at home and having such a generous return policy. It is preferable to driving and wearing myself out at the mall. Plus, I couldn't find Kestenberg, Muxo, or the large selection of Doonies and Oryanies in my town, I love the free shipping on Amazon, but the few bags they have are expensive. If you want a strict return policy, go to Epbay. Many vendors have new with tags Doonies and Oryanies, and the best usually have a 14 day return policy, most don't take returns. As a buyer, I want a generous return policy. I have bought not only as is bags, but clothes and jewelry and my experience has been 99% positive. Most buyers send things back in good or like new condition. Thank you, ladies!

The problem is they are selling as new. That is a problem. They don't do that in a store. Because in most stores, they will check it first and it be resableable. There are a few exceptions where it's OK. Macy's is more lenient than a Coach store would be. And Nordies has a fantastic return policy. So does Bloomingdales. I had a problem with latches on a satchel and I took it to be fixed, since it had been a year and they did do repairs at the time.. She thought I was returning the bag! I passionately wish people would not wear for nearly a month and return. That isn't right. You will know very soon if a bag doesn't work for you. One missing wrapping, but otherwise untouched is not the same as one that is clearly used with tissues and lipstick in a pocket. (true story!) being sold as new. And that is a disgrace. That will never be OK.

IMO - when you buy from the as is you know the chance you are taking. It is always a gamble - but you are only gambling the cost of returning the item as QVc is generous in allowing as is items to be returned. As for those who use items for 28 days then return them - well that is simply people who have poor characters and weren't raised properly IMO.
