I actually owned that Lizard tote for a brief period. I had scored at a QVC outlet and got it during one of their rare 70% off sales. It was a gorgeous bag, leather a bit stiff, but I am sure it would soften over time. For me the color wasn't good, I like cool tones and I realized no matter how pretty it was I wasn't going to carry it, so I sold it on that auction site.

I was lucky this last week and got the stirrup hobo "as is", I am travelling right now, so it is sitting at home waiting for me, 10 more days and I get to see her! Hopefully she is in good shape.

Also, the little Gili Leather Pouch that Shawn was "freaking out over" in her first PM style, has just been raised $1. Not comparable to the increases on larger ticket items but I find it interesting the hype they are putting on items at a given price only to have them increase in the subsequent days for no apparent reason other than to, perhaps, be able to discount them soon after at what looks like a bargain when, in fact, it is close to, if not higher than, the original Q price.

IMO, not a very smart thing to say on your first outing trying to establish your credibility with a (supposedly) high-end brand. EEK!??

This was some time after she said that it was her first day and she is already stripping.....while she was taking her jacket off in front of the camera..... Two references to taking her clothes off, hmmm...what would Freud say.....

Good catch! I'm actually surprised this pouch is priced that low, comparing to other handbags in that line....

I too find the timing odd for raising all the GILI prices... Lisa isn't around any more to hawk them and the reviews are pretty mixed on the new 'spokesmodel'... so it seems that if anything, they might have lowered the prices for a time to try to jump start the brand all over again... Again, I guess there's a method to their madness, but QVC seems to be making some pretty lame decisions and choices these days...

As for that pouch, no thanks. It's so narrow as to be pretty pointless for me... Besides, I can get something similar by Lauren, Kors, Issac, whoever... at the TJX stores for about twenty bucks less... It pays to keep in mind that while GILI might be QVC's 'higher end' brand, it's still a QVC house brand. They're trying to market it as if it was a true designer brand. Sorry, but it isn't, and given the new 'face of', it's even less so.
