Does anyone have Lamy boots and know if they need to be waterproofed like suede boots do?  I realize lamy is not leather and is synthetic so I'm not sure .

@Kitty Galore, I have the brand Lamo that I bought from QVC.  They didn't need any protection and I have worn them in the snow.  It kicked right off and feet were toasty!  

Dont know if this is the same brand.

A 668826 and it states they are lamy and look like suede .

They are a man-made suede material. I would use a Scotchgard spray on them. I have used this on my shoes before and it works great.

@Kitty Galore - Like @Coastalcarolina, I have never treated my Lamo boots. I have 3 pairs and I love them! My feet get cold easily. I really live in these when it's cold outside.

I've worn them in rain and snow and they still look new!

The boots in question are not the Lamo brand. The OP is referring to these boots which are called "Black Lamy" in the Easy Street brand's color selection. "Black Lamy" is their name for faux suede.

Its best to consider they are not waterproof unless stated in the description.
