I've got several of her bags and friends who also own KS bags. Of those I own, none of them is among my favorites, and I think of one in particular a friend purchased that is pretty to look at and nicely made but so poorly designed as to be practically unusable... As noted, I like KS bags, don't love them, though the company has certainly done a great job parlaying name recognition into big business. Still, as 'lifestyle' brands go, I sort of doubt RL is looking over his shoulder.

I love the KS handbags I have. I love the leather Cobble Hill Ellen crossbody. I also have 4 of her straw bags and they wear like iron, the best. Most of the others I have are the funkier ones, like th Chinese take out box, the radio and the television handbag, I also have a camera bag. These are amazingly well made for trendy, fun bags. In fact they are made better than some of the plain bags I have.

I have a few of the wool fabric totes, and they are not worth the money. The wool pells, and the shape is suppose to be stiff, loosens and slouches.

( have bought a couple of the outlet bags and they are good, but not the best of her bags. Luckily I get them cheap on sale with addition discounts so considering the cost, I am not upset

I have two KS bags, beautiful and elegant. Also I have her large travel wallet where I keep tickets, passports, money, etc. I always get compliments on it at the airports and hotels. The pieces that I owned by her are all well made, lining, stitching, details, gold hardware ,all very nice. I also love my Cole Haan bags and Charlie Lapson 's from Shopnbc years ago. My only one super good bag is my evening Cartier bag "Happy birthday".,it is vintage already,13 years old, love it to death. Overall I might own around 15 bags.

You can return to a KS outlet store if you buy it from there but if you purchase from the Outlet section of KS.com, those items are all final sales. I would never purchase anything again from there because even though the markdowns are good, it's a lot of money to spend if you hate the bag.

My 2 KS bags are identical, just different colors and it took me forever to find the exact style of handbag I liked and finally found with these. I don't think the quality of the bag is any better than some others I had. It's the style that makes me love my bag.

Some of the bags I don't care for at all. They are too stiff and boxy looking.

Hey, stevieb, you seem to be the handbag expert around here. Any experience with Oryany or Hobo? I ordered one of each of these brands from Nordstrom Rack this past week.

Thanks!

Hi Vaccinia, don't know how much of an expert I am, but I sure love my bags! Yes, I own a couple of each of the brands you note and they are good brands. I'm not personally loving the over-sized hardware oryany uses on some of their bags, nor the fact that so many of their bags are sort of narrow, but they definitely make a nice looking bag and use quality leather. Depending on the bag you get, do check the hardware closely, as there have been a handful of complaints that sometimes the screws holding it together come loose, but I think that was a while back... and I didn't personally have that problem. Hobo bags have been around for a while and tend not to be one of those brands that one sees everywhere, but they are nice bags, and the company uses good quality leather, in my experience. Hoping your new bags meet all your expectations and that you love them!

Thanks for responding! I really appreciate the feedback and will check both bags carefully. Actually, the Oryany bag I purchased has fairly minimal hardware which was one of its attractions. The color is saddle, and I hope it's the perfect neutral that it was in the website photo.

The Hobo is very simple. A hobo shape with a little more structure than most hobos and little hardware. I ordered it for the tomato color. I've wanted a red bag for a long time.

Wish I could post pics, but having trouble copying images for some reason. Will try again later.
