I have had this wallet in the Java Blue pattern for years but it had gotten so dirty I was ashamed to continue to use it. So I decided I had nothing to lose because if I couldn't get it clean I had to toss it anyway so I washed it with Tide and oxiclean in hot water and gentle cycle then it was really wet so I put it in the dryer on cotton setting for 20min then hung it out in the sun to finish drying. It is beautiful - the colors are back to bright blues and it even smells good from being out in the sun. i just restuffed it with all my junk and put it back in my purse. It made me realize I now need to wash my glasses case as well. This particular wallet style even has a plastic sleeve where you put your ID and that was no problem at all either - I keep a picture there of DH & I and my parents at our wedding there - it is so nice and clean I can actually see the picture again.

I have had people say their VB purses faded when washed but I have never had that experience. I once washed a cosmetic bag in hot water and heavy duty cycle because it had makeup all spilled in it and it didn't hurt it at all.
