Sorell Boots - tall ones. They are warm and made for cold winters. The ankle boot pictured above is adorable, but not tall enough for snow.

I bought a pair of Khombu boots & they have been great this past week in the snow and bitter cold ( in Chicago)

Actually, I also agree with LL Bean. You can't compete with their return policy, they'll let you get a new pair even after wearing the boots through 2 years of snowstorms!

I just bought a pair of Kamik boots. They should be in early next week, right before a snowstorm of course, so I'll let you know how they hold up. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Baffin and Cougar boots also get great reviews.

Also, if you want to check out OnlineShoes.com, they have a great selection of winter proof boots with free shipping, free shipping on returns AND interest free payments for up to 12-months (when purchased with a credit card). I highly recommend the website. Much better than returning to QVC, HSN or Amazon, plus you can't beat the higher payment schedule.

I have to admit I'm so grateful to be still wearing my flip flops. The word ""boot"" just isn't in my vocabulary.

Try the lamo boots sold at QVC for far less then there website. Warm and good traction in the snow and ice.

I second Sporto from Hsn. I bought the ones that were the TSV and I was very comfy with below zero windchill the other day.
