I tried many sandals but the straps always trapped my pinkie top and were uncomfortable. I don't know if I can post this but orthofeetdotcom has many comfortable shoes and sandals--open toed, close-toed, slip ons etc. I bought 2 sandals already and they are great. They have memory foam and are adjustable in several ways.

I love my sandals and wear them 7 to 8 months of the year. But I have to have a back strap and adjustable straps on the front of the sandal to fit my narrow feet. Can't wear heels or much of a platform, either. But once I find a supportive, comfortable sandal that doesn't look orthopedic, I'll buy it in every color, ha ha.

I just came back from a European river cruise and it was unbelievably hot! I brought supportive walking sneakers but I also brought Ryka platform supportive sandals in black and beige. A632355 To me they were much cooler in the oppressive heat and still comfortable over cobblestone walkways.
Of course I could have worn a lightweight sundress but instead I wore wide leg linen blend pants. I like sundresses on other women...just not me.
Everyone is different with what makes them comfortable.
Hi @haddon9 I hope you had a wonderful time on your river cruise. Yes, I was there too the past few years and it was hot!
You are lucky to have beautiful easy to fit feet!
I find the best of time for European travel is in May and then huüi8bbagain in October. Best.
@Pink123 Thanks so much! I had a wonderful time and even brought home a bonus souvenir... my first ever case of Covid. I'm still on the mend.
I don't know what I was thinking. It was so hot and air conditioning is not common there the way we take it for granted here.
We signed up for Viking Ocean cruise in October of next year. It should be much cooler!

I don't wear sandals but it's because I cant! I always wore sandals and flip-flops! I couldn't wait for the warm weather so I could wear capri pants and sandals and flip-flops! Then a few years ago I developed agonozing pain in first one ankle and then the other and had to undero treatment and now wear custom made orthotics. I can't fit them in anything but sneakers! Grrrrr! I never wore sneakers unless it was in PE class or when I was talking long walks. Now, I have to wear them every day and with everything! I used to have a fast collection of sandals for every occasion and flip-flops of every color and design. It broke my heart when I had to get rid of them. Now, I can't even stand to look at any of them in stores because it makes me so sad!

@wilma I, along with @monicakm, am not sure we could be friends........lol, just kidding.
I only wear sandals, mostly flip flops. I am in summer type climate year round. We had to go north during winter due to a family emergency a couple years ago. I had to dig out my boots and let me tell you, my toes hurt so bad. I avoid shoes with toes in them. I even hate socks! I always have a fresh pedicure and actually have pretty good looking feet and toes. I mostly wear Spenco.
I own a couple pair of Skecher type slip ons. They look brand new because I never wear them. What was I thinking?
You always look great, @wilma . We are all different. Wear what you are comfortable in........I do.....![]()

I wear sandals and I wear on one leg a thigh-hi compression stocking. I wear a strong grade medical compression stocking ---with --open toe for the exact reason that I want to wear sandals and have painted toe nails.
I am thrilled to wear the Vionics or the Revitalign (Spenco when I bought them) shoes. I also wear Birkenstocks and Chaco and my Jack Rogers.
My mother did not like to wear sandals. She grew up in Texas and in California, too. I was raised in the Midwest. It is--to each his own. My two sisters also love to wear sandals. My father loved sandals and well as to the preference of my four brothers some do and some don't.

Hi @haddon9 Oh I'm sorry you got sick on your yearly trip overseas. What a shame but hopefully it was at the end of it and that you enjoyed
most of it.
YAY....another Viking trip next year and in October![]()
