I'm late responding to this, but I have 32 pairs. I just counted.

I had probably 15 more but I'm moving in a few months and am being ruthless with downsizing my "stuff" and I've probably taken 15 pairs to consignment in the last few months.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I am embarresed to say I have about 200 pairs. I still have shoes from my working days that are gorgeous (heels, etc.) that I very rarely get a chance to wear anymore but they are in excellent condition. My DH keeps telling me to get rid of some of them but I always say I might need them someday. Now that I am retired, I live mostly in my Skechers. I go down to the basement and try to part with some of them but I can't. I definitely have a problem.

OMG! Too many to count I have an obsession. I recently donated about 50 pairs and still have many many many more! Handbags Too!

I had my boots and shoes in several locations and it was annoying when I looked for a specfic pair.

So - after I packed away my warm weather shoes - I merged all the rest into one location and counted them.

33 pairs of shoes (mostly ankle boots / booties / shoeties my favorite styles)

2 snow boots

3 shin high rain boots

1 knee high rain boots

I am down to 9 pair of shoes, having purged my New Balance and Brooks athletic shoes, plus a pair of Alegria sandals. I will replace the Brooks shoes soon.

NEVER be embarrassed about that! You're a super-shoe hero
