I am curious as to how long one should expect a tote to last when used a lot.
Over a year ago I purchased a glove leather tote specifically to use for work. While I used it 5 days per week I took very good care of it and expected it to last for years. The bag has man made trim but, evidently part of what I consider the body of the bag is actually trim, and it has begun to peel.
The part of the bag that is real glove leather is still beautiful. I chose this bag with care & love it as much as the day I picked it out. I am sick over the peeling edges; they are noticeable & ruin the look of the bag.
I am thinking that a quality bag that is 100% leather will last many years longer with care - even with regular use. Is this correct? If so, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. No more QVC Tignanellos for me.
