Re: How do you store your purses when you aren't using them?

That is cool Campion! I'll need to keep my eyes open for that too. Thanks.

I live in humid Georgia. If it doesn't grow here, it rusts.{#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

Purses, boots, shoes & leather coats live in my 'leather' closet. It has it's own dehumidifier that runs 9 months out of the year. I store the bags in individual cloth zipper bags (baby and travel ippered pillow protectors are great for this - they're just the right size). I laminate a small photo of the bag, punch a hole in the tag and attach to the zipper pull.

I store smaller clutches and the like in several medium size plastic containers with dehumidifier packs.

Yes, I have a LOT of handbags. Some go back to the 1940's. My mother had great taste in clothing and accessories. Have many of my own from the '50s. The old Roger Van S and Etienne Aigner bags and shoes always get comments when I wear them.

This is what I use and love it. I have 4 of these and they work great. You have to remember that it does take up closet space but I am fortunate to have extras in our home.

Re: How do you store your purses when you aren't using them?

I don't have that many handbags so I bought cheap pillowcases at WalMart and store them in those on a shelf. The only problem is that if I'm looking for a particular bag, I have to open all the pillowcases until I find the right one. Thought about taking photos of each one and attaching the photo to the pillowcase but that's as far as I've gotten - thinking about it!

I need some ideas. Some of my older Kathy bags are in plastic storage units in my basement. Then there's the Leather bags of Barkowski or however Bruce spells it and now my newer Vera Bradley bags. Is there a great idea out there, you're using on this issue?

Thanks. Sorry if it was discussed before and I missed it.

It"s Bruce MAKOWSKY. I have limited room storing my bags. I hang some on the door handles in my room and bathroom. I need to figure out a different way to do this. I have large plastic storage bins, but I heard somewhere that leather has to "breathe". Don't know...{#emotions_dlg.unsure}
