@Desert Lily. Re: sandals....I have mostly nude or black, but embarrassed to count how many of each. There are my comfie ones, wedges, ankle straps, gladiators w/ flat heels & high heels & wedges, cork bottoms, espadrilles, peep toes count?

For fun I have a few pr. of colorful Spring Step, several red, 4 turquoise and 5 metallics....all various heel heights and levels of dressy or every day.

Is there a Sandal's Anonymous?

I have lots of older neutral Birkenstock sandals, but lately have been buying colored Clarks and Skechers in red, blue, & turquoise. I didn't realize that red works with so many other colors.

I have a wedge Aetrex sandal in black, rose, and an olive-ish bronze. They work for casual or somewhat dressy. Super comfortable (has that Lynco footbed) and very attractive.

I did have maybe five or six Munro sandals, but since my foot surgeries, they don't fit well anymore. I donated them.

Ladies need to be much more careful than they are when buying sandals.Several of my neighbors here in Florida have slipped and taken bad falls that land them in the hospital due to wearing shoes that were not a good idea. Flip flops and slide sandals can slip off the foot when you least expect it & trip you. I often cringe when I see ladies walking with a cane but wearing slide sandals. I know they buy them because they are easier to get on & off but they are really dangerous for older ladies to be wearing. I never buy a sandal unless it has a strap around the ankle, except for an old pair of vionics flip flops  I wear at the pool. Actually I think flip flops are safer than slides because your toes grip the flip flops.

I was just down on the floor of my closet tidying it up today , so I counted - 9 pair of sandals all together. 4 pair casual and 5 pair dressier. Also 6 pair of closed in shoes and 2 pair athletic shoes. So really - not too many.

Too many, probably... all flip flop or slide type. All flats.

Even my girly girl dressier ones are flats. I just don't do heels for sandals.

I am a sandal girl for about seven months of the year.

I own 4 pairs of sandals.

3 pairs of casual sandals with back straps and low wedge heels in the colors of nude, brown, and metallic. I don't like flip flops or flat thong sandals.

1 pair of dressy navy wedge sandals
