I wear size 5 & 1/2 in shoes. I noticed that Vionics carries every 1/2 size except 5 & 1/2...does anyone know why? Is anyone reading this who is a 5 & 1/2? What do you buy (if anything)?
Thank you.

I haven't personally bought Vionics but, in all of the presentations I've seen, they've said that if you're a half size, you should go down to the next smallest full size. In your case, that would be a five.

I've found the Vionics I've tried run very wide. It's like they're trying to accommodate both mediums and wides, and in doing so, miss the mark on both.

I've found that to be true for their flip-flops and their clogs, but their closed shoes fit my medium-width feet fine. I actually had to size down from a 9 to an 8 in the thongs to get my proper fit, yet my closed shoes size 9 are spot on in fit.

ETA that I'm starting to see Vionics listed sizing as 8.5 and 9.5 and skipping 9. That is insane. They will lose my business if that's a new policy.

It depends on the style but they usually say to size down if you're a half size.

I wear a size 5 and I found them to run small, they were tight and I had to go up to a 6 for them to fit proper. Don't think they run true to size. Your best bet is to do what I did after I reurned my fives, find a store that carries them and try them on before you order online and then you won't have to worry about returning them.

I am a 6 and 1/2 spot on, so I am nervous about going to a 6. Any thoughts???

I wear a size 9 in every shoe I buy but I tried on vionic at the shoe store and in order to get the arch to hit my foot in the exact right spot I had to wear a 10 and then it was sticking out beyond my foot front and back. They are a great idea that needs a lot more tweaking IMO.
