GILI Roma 2 Ostrich = Cardboard

I received the Roma 2 Ostrich and I'm disappointed. It is hard...literally feels like cardboard. Seems like I would have to manually bend and massage it all over for it to get soft. I guess you get what you pay for. Also, the Ostrich Roma 2 can barely fit on my shoulder...and I'm 5'2". I'm contemplating whether to exchange the Roma 2 Ostrich for another Roma 2 color or just return it and get a Gucci Soho (not the Ostrich, but one of the other Gucci leather colors).

Has anyone else received a "Cardboard Ostrich" bag?
