Re: Fly London …seriously?

There aren't a lot of brands I can totally criticize as I would never buy. I can go to my closet and come out with at least one pair of something from many brands.  I agree with most of the comments here.  Springstep, for example always has the most uniquely beautiful and colorful styles (and that really floats my boat), but to be billed as a comfort brand they are not really comfortable to wear for hours.  I used to buy a lot of Clarks, but the last few I tried were not as well made as in the past, so I moved away from that brand.

I had seen Fly London on QVC, Nordstrom, a catalog/online shoe store, and a local independent shoe boutique.  I liked the looks, but it was not until I saw a chef at an outdoor dining event standing on concrete cooking wearing Fly London shoes.  The chef was a friend of one of the people I was with, so we chatted briefly and I asked about the shoes.  She praised the brand for its comfort, so I went to the local boutique and tried on a pair. The pair I tried on was was on sale for $50, so I bought them.  They became an instant favorite.  After the satisfaction with the shoes, I ventured into Fly London boots and had the same response. I'm up to several pairs now and have been able to purchase each one with some kind of discount off the regular price. Admittedly, only the first pair was the incredible $50, so I've had to go into the hundred range even to get a sale price on the others, but I have no buyer's remorse.
